It really is beginning to look like Christmas... and I love it!! I love seeing all the lights put on the streets of Salt Lake, Christmas trees in everyone’s apartment and the snow in the mountains (i wish it was down in the valley... but I guess I will just have to be patient) and there is just that feeling in the atmosphere that wonderful Christmas feeling! This truly is my favorite holiday by far.

This year i love that i got to kick off the Holiday season back in my home town (good old Bonners Ferry) with my family! Me and Madison drove the long 12 hours up and got there right in time for thanksgiving dinner, which was fantastic as always. It was a blast the house was full; I am pretty for sure every bed was taken. We played lots of card games and a few games of ticket to ride and stuffed ourselves with all the leftovers. It was just good to hang out with everyone; all my brothers and sisters are growing up so fast. It was also good to hang out with my mom and just spend time with her also. I have the most amazing parents! Also Madison became a true mountain man when he was joined my dad and uncles in one of my father’s favorite thing to do this time of year and spent all day up in the mountains getting firewood. And then to really start off the holiday season me and Madison went and cut down our very own (first!) Christmas tree. In all it was wonderful! So here are some pictures of our adventures in northern Idaho.

                                                 HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

WOW it has been way to long! I really can’t get out of habit of writing post on here. I honestly blame it on pintrest, right as I was starting to blog, i was introduced to pintrest and I am afraid a lot of my time has been spent there (which if you don’t know what it is you need to check it out, it’s AMAZING) but today I am breaking away from my pintresting and coming back to the blog. Which is good because some great things have gone down in my life since i last blogged.

First was Madison Birthday! We had dinner with his family at the pie, and then later that weekend headed up to Park City for an amazing weekend together.

ALPINE SLIDE!!!

Then my brother headed out on his mission! Me and Madison got lucky because we got to spend his last day before the mission with him, we took him out to Texas Road House for dinner. Then we got to take him down to the MTC. Which brought back a flood of memories for me! It’s crazy that its now been 2 years since i have been back off my mission.

and then.... OCEANSIDE CA!!
Madison's family all meet up for a week in Oceanside California, which is now becoming one of my favorite places!! It was a great week of ocean, sand, sun, boogie boarding and spending time with the family.

to sum it all up... it was incredible.... so hard to come back to Utah after a week of sun and beach... i will just have to start counting down the days till the next trip :)

So i decided to branch of from my pillow fetish (ok its not a fetish its just the only crafty thing i have done in our little apartment) and made a sign. I have been wanting to do this one for awhile, its a sign that has a scripture that was used in our sealing, and i just thought it would be nice to have that somewhere in our house. So thanks to the AMAZING help of my mother in law Jeanene Flake and Hillary Denham and Lindsey Flake (who i owe big time!) we can up with this!

Our Adventures in Cape Meares Oregon

Labor day weekend was WONDERFUL...even if it did feel a little to short! My family has a tradition for a while now to head out to the Oregon and spend some time on the beach and exploring along the coast. And life for me the last couple years has been pretty busy and i haven't been able to go with them.  Also Madison had never experience a Beazer vacation (which is quite the experience to say the least!). So when they planned it for this year it didn't matter what it took we were going to be there, which turned out to be a 14 hour drive through the night... but it was definitely worth it!

So to give you a little glimpse at why the 14 hour drive there and back was worth it for three days, here are a few pictures of the fun we had!

Agate Beach,
a have to visit, the caves were incredible, i don't have great pictures of us in the caves other than the one at the top, so you will but have to believe me when i say they are incredible!

The Octopus Tree
This was one of my childhood favorites to go see

A Day at Cape Meares Beach,
This was a blast, the water was FREEZING! So we would make a mad dash into the ocean and would run right back out to get warm.

 Sunday Afternoon Stroll...

Voodoo
I had heard about this place and my sister and her husband had been there before, so we decided on or way out from the beach to stop and get breakfast at the "Voodoo Dougnut... the magic in the hole" shop... which turned out to be a 30 minuet wait, but it was well worth it.

H+M's little home sweet home...

So I have been living for the last couple years in apartments full of other girls then missionary apartments, so to say that i was excited to have my own little place to decorate is a very big understatement. I was thrilled... even when i definitely lack in the interior design skills. Now with only a little apartment there wasn't much to decorate but i tried to do my best. So here is a little glimpse into our little home sweet home or should i say home sweet apartment. Bree Clukey this post is for you :)

This is my attempt at being crafty; i made these pillows and the two Mr and Mrs pillows above.

The Beginning...

I always told myself that i was just not a blogger it was not my thing, and yet here i find myself spending days...ok i am a little ashamed to say but weeks trying to put one together. And i have to say even after all the frustration i had trying to get this up and running i am super excited about having one!
Although here i am writing my first blog post and i am not  exactly what to right... (hopefully i get better at this...haha)  but since i am starting this amazing new life (being married!!) I will start out by giving a little update  of how things have been since i meet the most amazing guy ever...who happens to be my husband now! oh how i love how life all works out.
For those of you who don't know our story we meet, October 2010 and it was pretty much love at first sight since he was just visiting Rexburg for one weekend to see friends... and happened to bump into me and then the next weekend i find myself driving down to Utah to see him again... i really couldn't wait any longer... and then to make a long story short those trips between rexburg and salt lake became more and more frequent until i found my self madly in love with him... and moved down to utah myself. Where we were sealed for time and all eternity May 21,2011.

So this week we hit our three month mark! ok i know in the long run that's not very long! And yet so much has happened in those short three months of our marriage. We honeymooned in California, which was AMAZING...oh how i want to go back! We have also moved into an apartment down town Salt Lake City... which has been an adventure to say the least. Madison is back in school now studying at the University of Utah to become a occupational therapist. And i have found myself a job as a receptionist for a legal advising company. We have also taken some trips to the utah mountains for some camping (i will post pictures of our adventures soon) and spent a lot of time with Madison's family which has been so much fun, we love having them so close. It has also been nice just to spend time with each other just doing whatever we want to :)  Gosh i feel like i could keep going, but to sum it all up its been absolutely wonderful!
